RECOGNIZE YOUR WORTH AND POTENTIAL

It is easy to be your own worst critic.  Focusing on your mistakes, or comparing your gifts to others, can lead to feelings of inadequacy or inferiority.  If you take a closer look at Scripture, you will realize that God sees nothing but your potential—see below.

Take today to focus on all that you have, rather than anything you might feel you lack.  Our Father sees beyond our human frailties.  Because we were made in His image, and His Spirit dwells in us, we have a greater capacity for spiritual transformation and service than we could imagine.  Seek to become the person God created you to be.

SCRIPTURES

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God – you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration – what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before You, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.” — Psalm 139:13-16 (MSG)
“When God made man – male and female - in His image, it was the crowning achievement of His creative work.” — Genesis 1:27

PRAYER

Father,

I’m so excited for another day, being with You and experiencing Your greatness in and through me.  Mary said when visited by the angel, “I am Your servant.”  I make that declaration today, Father.  I am Your servant.   Order my steps as I commit to Your ways and Your voice.

I thank You, Jesus, that You are a shield of favor in and around me; that Your favor is evident throughout my day in conversations, in meetings, as well as in my will, mind, and emotions.  I love You, Lord.  I’m so grateful and thankful that You live in me.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray…Amen.
