Victory Church Family,

I am incredibly excited about “Anchored 2016.”  This time of prayer and fasting from January 3-23, 2016, is a time for us to seek God and ask Him to direct us and lead us through the year.  Anchored 2015 was such a special time for me.  During my prayer and fasting last year, God told me that it was going to be a year of stability and focusing on getting things healthy at Victory Church.  That was the word I anchored myself to for the remainder of 2015.  Time after time, I reminded myself of that word God gave me, and I anchored myself to it and trusted God during the storms I faced.  As we begin 2016, I believe God will give me something to anchor myself to for 2016… a word I can return to time and time again.  I pray that as you fast during this time and seek God’s face, that He will give you a word to anchor to as well.

AS YOU TAKE THIS JOURNEY WITH US, KEEP IN MIND THAT FASTING DOESN’T CHANGE GOD, BUT IT CHANGES YOU.

Fasting is a way to make you sensitive to the things of God.  It is a powerful tool that we are going to put into practice!

We are making various tools available for you during this fast as well. Included in the Anchored section on our website, you will see information that will help you to determine what type of fast to choose, fasting basics, and answers to questions such as, “Why should I fast?”  Prayerfully look over this information and be obedient to what the Holy Spirit directs you and your family to do.

To be part of the 21-day prayer and fasting journey, please register here online.  Starting January 3, 2016, and for each of the 21 days of the fast, you will receive a Daily Devotional written by one of our pastoral staff.

My prayer is that for these 21 days, you anchor yourself to Christ for 2016.  No matter what storms are coming, no matter the course God sets you on in 2016, you are anchored to the chief cornerstone that can sustain you and keep you to the end.

Thank you for being a part of what God is doing at Victory Church!
