DEVOTIONAL

Guard your heart today. Be prepared and primed to defend what the Lord has entrusted to you. From your heart, your mouth speaks. From your heart, your actions are made known. From your heart, God’s love will flow. Be mindful of what tries to take root in your heart. Identify thoughts and emotions that do not line up with God’s Word, take them captive, and guard your heart against them. You are not alone for God is with you. Trust in God by faith through prayer… be on guard.

SCRIPTURES

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” — Philippians 4:8-9

PRAYER

Father,

Today, I am choosing to anchor my soul into You...my will, my mind, and my emotions.  Thank You for Your promise that in You I live, and move, and have my being.  As I commit to this journey of prayer and fasting with my church, give me the strength to press through any hardships and struggles, allowing You to do the work You want to do in and through me.

Thank You for my church.  Bless the leadership with Your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as plans and directions are made.

In Jesus’ name I pray...Amen.
